We facilitate the needs of the disabled to self train their own service dog, enabling them to become self reliant and self sufficient.
The following is a list of courses and classes currently available in our Tempe location. If the class you want is full or not scheduled, you can always add yourself to the waiting list and we will contact you when a class becomes available. You are responsible for keeping up with the classes you are in. So please make sure to take note of the date, time and day your class is on. If you miss a class you are encouraged to come in the next week 20 min before your scheduled class time to make it up. There are no refunds for missed classes.

This course is specifically for puppies up to 6 months of age. It is designed to teach the basic good puppy behaviors, socialization, puppy care and obedience. We will teach you about your new puppy, typical puppy behaviors and how to survive the potty training, chewing, and other fun puppy stages. At the end of this course we offer the AKC Puppy STAR test. This is a 6 week course.

This course teaches you and your dog how to help stabilize you, assist you getting up and down, and pull a wheelchair. No real weight is applied to the dog in class. We will explain how and when to start applying pressure. It will take time for your dog’s muscles to build. Because we don’t apply weight dogs under 2 year may take this course.

This is a 12 week course. We will meet once a week and work on skills and/or behaviors all service/therapy dogs need to have in public. In addition you will be expected to learn the laws and service/therapy dog etiquette while in public. We expect you and your dog to be on your best behavior and respectful of others at all times. These classes often take place mid-day week days and sometimes weekday evenings. At the end of the 12 weeks Service Dogs will take our Public Access Test. Therapy Dogs will take a test to see readiness for the actual Therapy dog testing. If ready they will be sent on to a therapy dog tester for their official testing. They will have to meet with the tester no less then 3 times for testing in a public setting.

Building the drive to retrieve. This is a true retriever not a game of toss the ball. Dog’s not only are taught to bring something back to you but to want to bring things to you. All without chewing or tearing the item. Prerequisite required. Completion of Obedience 1, ideally also Obedience 2 but not always necessary.

Advancing the retrieve into a useful skill. Putting toys away, delivering items between two people, opening a drawer or cabinet and shutting it. Also learning to be gentle with breakable household items like cell phones, pens, etc.

This class is for fun and to learn the basics of Rally. Most class days we’ll be outside in the parking lot. The training center is often too small for how much space we need. Weather will be a factor in how this course is taught. Please dress appropriately.

This course is ideal for anyone who has just recently adopted a dog. It take time to build a good bond and relationship with a new dog and the games we play in this course are designed to help build that relationship and engagement. Each week we will play 2-3 trust and bond building games.

This class is for learning what proper socialization is and how to properly socialize your puppy. Puppies up to 5 months old are welcome in this class.

This is pretty much as it sounds however many of these "tricks" are the start of service dog skills. This course is meant to be fun and nothing more. Your dog will learn simple tricks like Ring a bell, Jump through a hoop, Bow, Spin, Roll over, play dead, shake, etc.

There are six categories of stimuli that are considered when testing a dog. Over the course of 6 weeks this class would be pre-testing the dog in each of the areas of stimulus and working on any behavior issues the dog may have.

This workshop is designed to simulate your potential experiences with air travel. We simulate the security and go over several possible TSA protocols. Then boarding the plane, seating, in flight services, and disembarking the plane. Plus time for some Q&A. We try to be as accurate as possible with all the airline regulations but each airline has their own policies and they change frequently.

Learn the skills you need to potentially help save your dog or cats life! This course is more than just CPR. Topics covered are splinting broken bones, bandaging wounds, burns, punctures, ingesting toxic substances, choking, vomiting, as well as learning to spot illness by taking your pets temperature, checking for dehydration and anemia.
There is a $25 non-refundable fee that will come out of your payment for this class if you cancel.
